Kashaf Sohail hails from Islamabad, Pakistan and is a winner of the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Scholarship fully funded by European Union. She is pursuing Erasmus Mundus Masters in Global Studies which has a mobility track of University of Vienna, Austria - University of California Santa Barbara, USA and Leipzig University, Germany. She is currently interning at Cinema for Peace Foundation in Berlin. She previously interned at Nuclear Age Peace Foundation (NAPF) in Santa Barbara, California and is attached to British American Security Information Council (BASIC) as a Policy Fellow contributing to the policy cycle focused on "Humanitarian impacts of Nuclear Weapons in the context of NPT". She has previously worked as an intern at UNESCO and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan. Kashaf is also part of multiple youth organizations including Youth for TPNW, CTBTO Youth Group, YOUNGO and Women in Nuclear. She is a regular participant at international conferences and has authored a number of publications in the field of social sciences research. Arms Control, Disarmament and Non-Proliferation, Climate Change, Refugees and Migration are her primary areas of scholarly interest.

She has had the honor to deliver several addresses at the United Nations Headquarter in Vienna and New York regarding Pakistani Women in Nuclear and Disarmament Policymaking. Her current Masters thesis research is on the Humanitarian and Environmental Consequences of Nuclear Testing in Pakistan. She is a volunteer at International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapon (ICAN).
