The Asia-Pacific Leadership Network (APLN) has over 180 members from 26 countries across Asia and the Pacific, consisting of former political, diplomatic and military leaders, senior government officials, and scholars and opinion leaders, dedicated to addressing security challenges in the Asia-Pacific, with a particular focus on nuclear non-proliferation, risk reduction, and disarmament.

Dr. Bong-Geun Jun is a Visiting Fellow at the Sejong Institute and President of the Korean Nuclear Policy Society. He also serves as an Advisor at the Center for Nonproliferation Studies at the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA), where he served as a professor for 18 years before his retirement.
Professor Jun has held several government and non-governmental positions, including Policy Advisor to the Minister of Unification, Secretary for International Security Affairs at the Presidential Office, and a professional staff member at the New York headquarters of the Korean Peninsula Energy Development Organization (KEDO).
His research interests include the North Korean nuclear issue, inter-Korean relations, Northeast Asian politics, nuclear policy, nuclear energy, and strategic studies.
Professor Jun is the author of numerous books and articles. His recent books, published in Korean, include The Tragedy of International Politics on the Korean Peninsula(2023), Thirty Years of Nuclear Crisis on the Korean Peninsula(2023), and The Politics of Denuclearization(2020).
