Dr Pooja Bhatt is a maritime security and governance studies analyst. She also the author of the book "Nine-Dash Line: Deciphering the South China Sea Conundrum" (Knowledge World 2020). Pooja was a part of the prestigious Indian Navy History book "A Decade of Transformation: The Indian Navy 2011-21" released by the Hon’ble President of India on Navy Day 2022.
Besides working extensively on maritime issues-particularly Indo-Pacific and the South China Sea, She writes on issues related to defence issues, and Asian Security Architecture.
Previously, she was a Consultant at the Policy Planning and Research Division, Ministry of External Affairs, Govt of India. She also taught as an Assistant Professor in the School of Defence and Strategic Studies at Rashtriya Raksha University, Gandhinagar. She has also worked with India's leading think tanks such as the Centre for Air Power Studies, New Delhi (an Indian Air Force research institute) and the Indian Council of World Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs.
