Political Officer of the Embassy of the Philippines in Washington D.C.
Ms. Flores currently serves as Political Officer of the Embassy of the Philippines in Washington D.C. She joined the Philippine Foreign Service in 2008 after a decade of working as a business and foreign affairs journalist for local and foreign media. In the Department of Foreign Affairs, she served as Special Assistant to the Undersecretary for Policy on multilateral issues and on Philippine bilateral relations with the United States, Canada, and Europe, as well as Principal Assistant to the Spokesperson. She previously served as First Committee and Disarmament expert at the Permanent Mission of the Philippines to the United Nations in New York, where she also covered peacekeeping and the Security Council. She was a UN Disarmament Fellow in 2013. Ms. Flores obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism in 1998 from the University of the Philippines and has earned graduate-level credits in International Relations from the same University.
