Dr. Sukalpa Chakrabarti is a scholar of international relations with over 20 years of teaching and research experience in the domain of International Relations (Global Political Economy, Geopolitics and International Security), Politics & Public Policy. Presently she holds the position of Professor at the Centre for the Study of Law and Governance, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Before this she was Professor & Deputy Director at the Symbiosis School of International Studies, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) Pune. From an area studies perspective, Asian geopolitics, Africa’s trade and economy and India’s public policy and diplomacy have been her major focus. She has authored books and contributed chapters to edited books in foreign and national publications alongside peer-reviewed, indexed journal articles, conference (national and international) papers and book reviews. She has ben the Principal Investigator for ICSSR research project and has designed and developed courses for academic programmes at various eminent HEIs.
