In February, APLN member Trevor Findlay gave a presentation at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s Center for Global Security Research (CGSR) on verification of the Chemical Weapons Convention and another on-line seminar at the same Center in May on his book Transforming Safeguards: Culture: The IAEA, Iraq and the Future of Non-Proliferation published by MIT Press in June 2022. Dr. Findlay has given several presentations recently on the safety, security and safeguards implications of Small Modular Reactors (SMR) to two workings groups associated with the Council for Security and Cooperation in Asia Pacific (CSCAP): the Nuclear Energy Experts Group (NEEG) and the Study Group on Nonproliferation and Disarmament.
He is currently finalizing a research report on verification of the JCPOA for the Iran Study Group at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University to be published later this year.
