The Asia-Pacific Leadership Network and the Jeju Peace Institute have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation between the two organisations.
Signed by Jeju Peace Institute President Jeong-sik Kang and APLN Executive Director Shatabhisha Shetty, the MOU establishes a framework for partnership in areas of shared interest, particularly research and knowledge exchange.
The agreement builds on APLN and JPI’s existing collaboration around the Jeju Forum and provides a basis for further work through joint research, conferences, seminars, lectures, workshops, publication exchange, policy research cooperation, networking with local and international partners, and the exchange of ideas.
APLN Executive Director Shatabhisha Shetty welcomed the agreement as a way to formally mark a productive partnership and build on it in the years ahead.
The signing took place ahead of the Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity 2026, where APLN members are participating in discussions on conflict prevention, regional security architecture, ASEAN amid China-US competition, and the future of regional and international order.
Further details on APLN’s upcoming sessions at the Jeju Forum are available on the APLN events page.
